ABOUT ME

Hello there, I'm Amanda!

I'm a game development enthusiast and project manager with a strong motivation to make a meaningful impact in the gaming industry! Over the years, I've embarked on an exciting journey, diving into the world of game development, organizing game jams, and sharing my experiences with the gaming community. 

 

My Journey: I started my career in game dev. with a Game Development Diploma and expanded my expertise with a Post-Graduate Certificate in IT Project Management. Since then, I've been fortunate to work on remarkable projects, including Hill Agency: PURITY/decay.

Skills: Throughout my studies and working with different projects, I've developed many skills which are helping me become a better professional. They are: Project Planning and Coordination, Team Management, Communication, 

Collaboration, Problem Solving, Adaptability, Conflict Resolution and Game Development Life Cycle

 

Passion for Community: I believe that communities can do wonders for the industry, that's why I've been actively involved in organizing game jams, in addition to sharing content and insights about game development on my Instagram profile. My mission is to foster connections, empower aspiring female game enthuasiats, and advocate for diversity within the gaming world.

WORK EXPERIENCE

My recent experience from these past years

VIDEO GAMES PROJECT MANAGER

Jan. 2021 - November 2023

At Achimostawinan Games

​

First IP realized in March 2023: Hill Agency: PURITYdecay game!

 

Main tasks:

  • Led the Production and Live-Ops stages of the studio's debut game (Hill Agency: PURITY/decay) released in March 2023, using Agile and Kanban methodologies.

  • Organized key meetings with a cross functional team of 7 people, from artists to programmers.

  • Rearranged the project documentation layout to focus on priority features, helping the teams to update their documents more efficiently and to better visualize which tasks to proceed with.

  • Ensured proper implementation and updates of the Trello board and Google Drive Suite.

  • Identified risks to the project and analysed the risk based on impact, probability of occurrence and its effect on the game quality & release date. Similarly came up with a mitigation plan for the identified risks.

PROJECT MANAGER AND UI DESIGNER

January - December 2020

At WildSpread Studio

Main tasks: (Freelancer)

  • Planned game scopes and schedules over Microsoft Office, and monitored project progress.

  • Set deadlines and assigned tasks to a 4-people team on Hackplan program using Agile and Scrum.

  • Scheduled and organized team meetings to facilitate communication and coordination.
